In grades 7 and 8, intentional emphasis is placed on independence and high school preparation.

Students are challenged to to think about their worldview, their most basic beliefs that shape their view of and for the world. A Biblical worldview curriculum is taught. Students develop their French language skills. Technology is integrated throughout the curriculum (Trinity is a Google Apps for Education school) and used as tools for student learning. Students have access to fully equipped computer and science labs, as well as a well-established instrumental music program. Students are given opportunities to participate in science fairs, math contests, music and art festivals. Field trip opportunities, including overnight trips, are provided to complement curriculum. Co-curriculars, such as athletics, music and art provide students opportunities to develop their skills and abilities.

Teaching Team

I have been blessed to be a part of the Trinity since April 2012. In September 2012 I was hired to be the Science Teacher for the intermediate level and have encouraged students to go beyond and work towards excellence in their Science Projects. One event that has been memorable is the positive comments I have heard from spectators and judges at the BASEF Science fair about the Christian Perspective that our students have placed on their display boards. The success of our Trinity students at BASEF and at Canadian Science fair has also been memorable. To see how the students have used Science to investigate God’s creation has been intriguing.

Al Bezuyen - Grades 7/8
I have always wanted to be a teacher, and a thankful that God placed me at Trinity Christian School. I have been teaching at Trinity in grades 6 to 8 since 2004.

Being an educator is challenging, and always requires growing, changing, flexibility and development. I love to learn, and my desire is to instill that love for learning in the students that I teach.

Sara Flokstra - Grades 7/8
I joined the Trinity community in September 2015. In 1998 I began my teaching career with excitement and enthusiasm, since then I have been eager to learn and fostered my passion for integrating technology in education. The 21st century classroom provides daily challenges and stretches my faith to trust in Jesus Christ to provide the knowledge and understanding of how to live out my life as an example to my students.

Jason Jarvis - Grades 7/8 and Technology
It took me a while to figure out that God’s plan was for me to teach. It was while leading a missions trip for teens that I decided to return to Teacher’s College. I travelled around the world, managing the youth programs on cruise ships before I joined the Trinity community in September 2014. I love teaching at Trinity, which is Christ centered, allowing me to share my faith, my love of learning, and hopefully inspire and encourage my students.
