Unity

Dear Parents,

For those of you who were able to join us on Tuesday, you can attest that there was a tangible excitement and optimism in the air, as we began a new school year together. Whether it was the chatter of the children going into the school yard or the conversations over a cup of coffee, there was a tangible sense of community and joy that was present.

This carried over into our Opening Chapel, which was the first time in 3 years that we could join as parents, students, and staff to give glory to God for a new school year and dedicate our plans to Him. As we prayed and worshipped together, there was definitely a sense of unity that can only occur when God’s spirit is present. It reminded me of Psalm 133:1-2, which says, “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes!”

The oil on Aaron’s head in this verse represents God’s anointing and blessing. In the same way, we know that God’s hand of blessing is over our school, as has been so evident in his steadfast faithfulness and provision for us. We know that we would not be where we are today were it not for God’s grace and mercy that accompanies us every step of the way.

Our theme verse also talks about being one body under Christ as our Head which is joined together or united as various parts, but one whole. When we work together, it is then that we grow in God’s love and truth. By doing so, we can effectively serve others and our community out of a sense of love for God and one another.

Our desire this school year is that you and your children will grow closer to Jesus and that together we can have a greater impact on the lives of those God places on our path. May this sense of unity as a body of believers at Trinity continue to increase and may we bring glory to God in the process.

Sincerely,
J-D Lussier, Principal
