Celebration of Learning Preview

Here's a preview of the scripture passages that have inspired the class projects that will be featured in our Celebration of Learning (and at our Grandparents & Friends' Day).

“The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it!”
Psalm 24:1

“And God saw all that He has made and it was very good...Then God put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden to care for it.”

Genesis 1:31; 2:15

“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered.”

Proverbs 11:25

How might 4 and 5 year-olds be meaningful contributors to their community? God calls each one of us to love others and we can do this by being a helper to others. Come and see how the Kindergarten students have been community helpers within the Trinity community and beyond.

Grades 1 & 2

How can we improve “Creation Care” at Trinity? Did you know that we can recycle many more items at home than we can here at Trinity? Even though we try to bring litterless lunches and take our non-paper recycling home with us, a lot still ends up in the garbage can. Gr. 1 and 2 think we can do better! We’d love to show you what we’ve learned and share our progress toward the goal we’ve been working hard to achieve!

Grades 3 & 4

Are there some things that we could be doing differently to reduce the negative impact on the environment and surrounding communities? We are so thankful to live in the beautiful province of Ontario. As residents, we all use the land for many things including agriculture, forestry, mining, housing and recreation. Yet, every time we interact with the environment, the land is affected. In order to keep our province thriving and beautiful, we are learning about the positive and negative ways that we use our land. We look forward to sharing our ideas with you!

Grades 5 & 6

Is there more that we can do to take care of God’s creation? There are many different forms of energy and ways in which we use energy in our day to day lives. Conserving energy is one way we can be stewards of God’s creation. Come and celebrate what we have learned about energy and how we can make good use of the gift of energy God has given us.

Grades 7 & 8

Who is our neighbour and how can we as Grade 7 & 8 students serve the neighbours in our communities? There are many different charitable, missional organizations that we can partner with to show love to our neighbour. Creating awareness and donating time and finances to these organizations is our goal. We appreciate your support as students think of creative ways to present their chosen organization. As each child either individually or as a group completes research on their respective organization, they will plan an opportunity to support this organization financially and in prayer. Come and see the efforts of their work and enjoy the opportunity to learn about and support the charity or mission students have chosen.
