John 15:13

Do Everything With Love

Dear Parents,

It has been so good to see all of your children in person. In many ways, it felt like we were starting a new school year; however, it was much colder than the usual temperatures of late summer that we have in September. It was a good reminder that God makes all things new in His timing.

As we think back to our theme verse for this school year in 1 Cor. 16:13-14, we have certainly been pushed to “Be on Guard, Stand Firm in the Faith, Be Courageous, and Be Strong”. January was a tough month in which we needed God’s strength to persevere. The last part of the verse though is equally timely, as it challenges us to, “Do Everything With Love”.

During chapel this morning, our Grade 1 class put this into action by writing special Valentine “Thank You’s” to those they love. This included appreciation for all the hard work that parents did to support them during remote learning and the special care that they received. We were also reminded to say thank you to God for His sacrificial love for us, which provided us with salvation.

Since He has and is doing a work in our hearts, we ought to demonstrate love as well. Jesus tells us in John 15:13 that, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay one’s life down for his friends.” We are called to put our love into action, even if it means we must give up some of our comfort to do so. This Valentine’s Day, we hope that you will do something as a family that demonstrates Jesus’ Love for one another. May He show us how to love more deeply like the Father.

Sincerely,
J-D Lussier, Principal
